Your figures only count the domesticated huskies, not wild. Also, huskies can be bred in captivity very simply, then released, a difficult feat with polar bears. Also the greatest problem with polar bears is that they have no other suitable habitat they could be moved to, while huskies, being dogs, could quite easily survive in a normal climate, hunting other sorts of food.

good question. i don’t know. but why can’t we just relocate these endangered animals? we have polar bears living in our memphis zoo so why do we spend thousands of dollars documenting these creatures demise instead of efforts to relocate them to land that isn’t melting?

polar bears catn hunt of food when there is no ice because they cant move over harldy any serface and are forced to go hungry. huskies can eat smaller animals and polar bears cant

D sounds like a good choice, because in ecology books they pretty much base it on the fact that all the organisms have a niche in the ecosystem, and if one disappears, the thing collapses. a simple example: grass < bunny < wolf < fungus and decomposers < (soil) < grass if one thing disappears, all the other things will find it very hard to survive

If they went extinct, children in Churchill, Ontario wouldn’t have to look over their shoulders all the time, and we’d have a lack of white bear rugs. But they aren’t going to be extinct.

stop burning coal, oil, and natural gas. that’s the only way. kind’a like weight. want to lose some? don’t eat as much. there’s nothing magic about it. Edit: There’s lots of other stuff, (drive a smaller car, or take the bus, take shorter showers (or none ewe) turn off lights when not needed, etc) that will help slow global warming down some. But to stop it, you have to stop putting CO2 into the atmosphere. Really.
